Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

Capitalized terms used in these Terms have the meanings defined below, whether used in singular or plural form.

• Affiliate — any company that controls, is controlled by, or shares common ownership with us.
• Account — your personal account on compliance.tf.
• Company ("we," "us," "our") — Betajob AS (org. nr. 999 153 976), the company behind compliance.tf, registered in Norway.
• Service — the compliance.tf website, Terraform module registry, API, and CLI tools.
• Marketplace — AWS Marketplace, where Subscriptions are purchased.
• Subscription — a paid plan purchased through AWS Marketplace that grants access to the Service.

2. Sanctioned Nations and Territories

The Service is not available to individuals or entities subject to trade sanctions or export restrictions imposed by Norway, the European Union, the United States (including OFAC), or other applicable authorities. This includes, but is not limited to, entities registered in Russia or Belarus, or individuals residing in these countries.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts and block access if we determine that a user is subject to applicable sanctions or export controls.

3. Acknowledgment

These Terms govern your use of compliance.tf. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

You represent that you are at least 18 years old. We do not permit anyone under 18 to use the Service.

Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. Please read them before using compliance.tf.

4. Subscriptions

Purchasing

Subscriptions are purchased through AWS Marketplace. By subscribing, you agree to both these Terms and AWS Marketplace's terms of service. In the event of a conflict, these Terms govern the Service itself, while AWS Marketplace terms govern billing and payment.

Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Billing

All billing is handled through AWS Marketplace. You agree to pay all fees associated with your Subscription through your AWS account. We do not collect payment information directly.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled according to AWS Marketplace policies. For billing disputes, please contact AWS directly.

5. User Accounts

When you create an account, you must provide accurate and current information. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account.

Don't use someone else's name or trademark as your username without their permission.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are the exclusive property of the Company and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

Terraform modules provided through the Service are subject to the End-User License Agreement.

7. Your Feedback

If you send us feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display that feedback for any purpose — with no obligation to compensate you. Nothing in this section affects your moral rights under applicable law.

8. Links to Other Websites

Our Service may link to third-party websites. We don't control these sites and aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your Account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms and Conditions.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. If you wish to terminate your Account, you may simply discontinue using the Service or cancel your Subscription through AWS Marketplace.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company and its suppliers will not be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages.

The Company's total liability will not exceed the amount you actually paid through AWS Marketplace in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred US dollars ($100 USD), whichever is greater.

11. "As Is" and "As Available" Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every tool in your stack.

We work hard to make it reliable, but software has bugs — and we can't promise otherwise.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms, your use of the Service, or your violation of any third party's rights.

13. Force Majeure

Neither party will be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, government action, internet or utility service interruptions, or cloud provider outages.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Other local or international laws may also apply to your use of the Service.

15. Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern or dispute about the Service, please try to resolve it informally first by contacting us through our Contact page.

Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Asker and Bærum, Norway.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. The failure of the Company to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes means you accept the updated Terms. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other documents referenced here, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Service.
