Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Betajob AS (doing business as compliance.tf) ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on compliance.tf and its subdomains. It covers what cookies are, which ones we use, and how you can manage your preferences.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They allow websites to remember information about your visit, such as your preferred settings. Cookies can be set by the site you are visiting (first-party) or by another domain loaded on the page (third-party). We use both. Most are first-party — your theme preference and your consent choice. The only third-party cookies come from Microsoft Clarity, and they load only after you enable Analytics cookies in the banner (off by default).
Cookies We Use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ctf_consent | Strictly necessary | Records your cookie consent choice (cookie). Shared across compliance.tf and its subdomains, so you are asked only once. | 12 months |
| ctf-theme | Strictly necessary | Stores your dark/light theme preference on this site (localStorage) | Persistent |
| ctf_theme | Functional | Shares your theme preference across compliance.tf and its subdomains (cookie). Set when you enable Functional cookies in the banner. | 12 months |
| _clck | Analytics (first-party) | Microsoft Clarity — stores a pseudonymous user ID for this site. Set only when you enable Analytics cookies in the banner. | Up to 13 months |
| _clsk | Analytics (first-party) | Microsoft Clarity — groups page views into a single session. Set only when you enable Analytics cookies in the banner. | Up to 1 day |
| CLID | Analytics (third-party, .clarity.ms) | Microsoft Clarity — identifies first-time browser observation across Clarity sites. | Up to 13 months |
| ANONCHK | Analytics (third-party, .clarity.ms) | Microsoft Clarity — signals MUID transfer state. | ~10 minutes |
| MUID | Analytics (third-party, .bing.com / .clarity.ms) | Microsoft browser identifier used by Clarity. | Up to 13 months |
| MR | Analytics (third-party, .clarity.ms) | Microsoft Clarity — controls MUID refresh. | ~7 days |
| SM | Analytics (third-party, .clarity.ms) | Microsoft Clarity — MUID synchronisation flag. | Session |
Strictly Necessary Storage
Your consent choice (ctf_consent) is stored in a first-party cookie that applies across compliance.tf and all of its subdomains (for example app.compliance.tf and registry.compliance.tf), so a choice made on any of our sites is honored on all of them. The per-site theme preference (ctf-theme) is stored in your browser's localStorage. Both are essential for the site to function correctly and do not require your consent under the GDPR or the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act (ekomloven § 3-15).
Functional Cookies
The ctf_theme cookie shares your dark/light theme preference across compliance.tf and its subdomains so the sites look consistent as you move between them. The banner lets you choose categories independently: "Accept all" enables this cookie and the Microsoft Clarity analytics described below, "Reject non-essential" declines both, and "Manage preferences" exposes a separate Functional toggle and Analytics toggle so you can accept one and reject the other. This functional cookie is set whenever Functional is enabled. If you reject it or withdraw via "Cookie Settings", it is deleted immediately.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics service. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track visitors across sites. All data is aggregated and no individual visitor profiles are created. Because Plausible is cookie-free, it does not require consent.
We also use Microsoft Clarity. Clarity records clicks, scrolls, mouse movement, and session replays so we can see where the site is confusing or broken. It sets first-party and third-party cookies and shares data with Microsoft. These cookies are not strictly necessary, so Clarity loads only when you enable Analytics in the banner - a separate choice that is OFF by default. You turn it on via "Accept all" or the Analytics toggle under "Manage preferences"; accepting only Functional cookies does not load Clarity. Clarity also loads only on our production site. If you disable Analytics or withdraw consent, the first-party Clarity cookies are cleared.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time:
- Click "Cookie Settings" in the website footer to re-open the consent banner
- Clear your browser's cookies and localStorage to reset all stored data
- Use your browser's built-in cookie controls to block or delete cookies from compliance.tf
Your consent choice is stored for 12 months. After that period, you will be asked again.
Third-Party Cookies
The only third-party cookies on this site come from Microsoft Clarity, and they load only after you accept analytics cookies in the consent banner. We do not run advertising and do not track you across other websites.
